This program will provide you with Training for skills in this growing field. The program can be completed in 900 Hours either day or evening. Once completed you will be eligible to participate in the; Dental Assisting National Board Certification. In addition you will be able to apply for your Dental radiological license from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. This is just the first step in an exciting career path.
Program Design
The objective of the Dental Assisting Program is to provide the proper training in which students can acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competency in dental assisting procedures, which include but are not limited to: four handed dentistry, mixing dental materials, sterilization procedures, patient education, preparation of procedures, instruments, and radiological procedures. Upon satisfactory completion of the Dental Assisting program the student will be qualified to obtain an entry level position as a dental assistant and the student will be eligible to apply for the Dental Assisting National Board Certification examination.

Emergency Procedures Dental Science I Dental Anatomy Dental Materials Chairside Assisting CPR Practice Management Dental Science II Dental Radiology Preventive Dentistry Patient Relation and Psychology Clinical Assisting Externship Upon passing the examinations, the student receives the License for the dental x-ray from the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and a Certificate from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) issuing the credential Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). |
